Pros: attractive design, convenient features, efficient, powerful

Cons: spare parts are hard to get, hard to maintain

I owned this microwave for about two years and it didn't cause any problems to me. It is well-designed, does a good job and has a sleek look. The only reason why I gave it four stars instead of five is the light bulb that is non-standard. It is impossible to go to a local shop and buy it. It have to be ordered specially. Yes, this may seem to be a little problem to you, but it is really annoying! Why do the companies design such appliances that are so hard to maintain and that may turn out to be time-consuming?

I used it for two years and a half and it quit working. I will never buy Whirlpool again! It is very expensive to repair. It is easier to buy a new microwave!

I bought this microwave 11 months ago and these days it died. It worked well and I liked it, but now it just doesn't heat. I have already read several posts from users, who had experienced the same problem.

Cons: poor customer service, unreliable, doesn't last

The microwave was lightly used for reheating mainly and it broke after 16 months. Magnetron died and it stopped heating at all. The replacement of this part costs about $260! of course I contacted Whirlpool customer service, but they refused to admit the fact that it is unacceptable for a magnetron to break so early. They don't stand behind their products!

Now I can tell for sure that I will never purchase Whirlpool products again. I just can trust them. I have read many many similar complaints, so my problem turned out to be a usual thing.
