Pros: attractive design

Cons: loud, inefficient, not enough capacity

I read numerous reviews, before I buy this microwave and I can tell now that it have several design flaws and questionable quality. It can't cook popcorn, because it can't even accommodate a small size bag that is so popular these days. My previous unit could do that.

I also believed that if the wattage is higher, then there would be significant changes in general performance. But I was wrong. The cook time is the same, in comparison with 700 watts units. Another problem is the reliability. I already had several fan blades replaced, because they just had blown apart.

I am very disappointed! The price is too high for such a low quality unit! The only thing I like about it is the turntable feature.

Maytag microwave performs well, but it is very loud! I should have read more reviews on it, before the purchase. The sound is like a space shuttle is taking off in my kitchen! Terrible!

This is a good-looking and functional microwave, but it is not durable at all. The repair is rather expensive, so it is more profitable for us to buy another model from another brand. I am very unhappy! We chose it just because Maytag and Whirlpool brand names are considered to be reliable. Our previous microwave worked for 15 years and still works!

This microwave is not powerful enough and it is loud! I had bought it about 13 months ago, used mainly for reheating and making popcorn, and it is already dead.

It is nice looking and powerful with lots of pre-programed options. The fan is too loud.

I have installed this microwave about two months ago and I like it more and more every day. As I had already read in other reviews, it is not the best choice for popcorn, but when you use 4 min. time setting it does a good job. The dishes are cooked thoroughly and evenly. But the best here is the defrost option! It doesn't cook the edges! In addition it is easy to keep clean.
