KitchenAid is equal to poor quality
ronaldjohn, 11/09/2012
Experience of using: 1 year or more

Pros: well-advertised brand name

Cons: not durable, poor quality, breaks easily

I remodeled my kitchen about three years ago and bought all the appliances made by KitchenAid. What a mistake!

- microwave has had problems with control panel and now it doesn't work at all

- dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes thoroughly

- door in refrigerator doesn't stay closed; ice maker broke once again and the plastic fixtures of the lights melt

- the oven's motherboard died and the hinge broke

Fortunately that was covered under the warranty...

Noisy, noisier and the noisiest

Experience of using: Few months

Pros: functional, easy to use, powerful

Cons: poor vent, noisy

Generally microwave works fine and he don't have any problems with it, but the vent is horrible. It doesn't work properly, that's why we have problems with smoke detector pretty often. That's is really annoying! But the worst thing is that it is EXTREMELY loud! I will definitely think of replacing it.

Too early to tell

Experience of using: Less than a month

Pros: works as it should

Cons: getting used to new features

I use this micro for three weeks only, but still I don't have any complaints. It works fine and looks great too. I also have a slide-in range, made by KitchenAid, and they look good together.
