Large cooking surface
Bartel7395, 02/02/2013
Experience of using: About 6 months

Pros: Large surface area, Modern style, Simple controls, Versatile performance.

In general this cooktop is great, but I would change four things. The first one, I would remove this name tag on the top. It is not well-thought, because it will collect built-up over time. Very unreliable. Then I would separate the largest burner from low simmer burner. Yes, having two burners is great, but usually you will need both of them. And how should I use two burners for two dishes, if they are combined in one? The third thing is that the edges should be rolled into, ensuring smooth fit into the countertop. Finally, the last but not the least: this cooktop doesn't fit into the 36-inch cabinet, until the time when you butcher the sides at the top.

Pleased with it.

Experience of using: Few months

Pros: High powered burners.

We use this cooktop for about three months and we are absolutely satisfied with the choice so far. The middle burner is very quick and it boils water within a few minutes. But still it is rather versatile, and if you need less BTU, than you can easily decrease the heating power and cook/stew/boil dishes on it. Another advantage is easy clean up.

Powerful, versatile and do worth every cent!

Experience of using: Less than a month

Pros: Easy to clean, Heats up quickly, High powered burners, Large surface area, Simple controls.

Cons: None!

My older gas cooktop, that I used for about 30 years, was not really efficient and I could hardly sear or boil dishes on it. I do love cooking, so I was looking for a high-end and good-looking model. This cooktop met all my requirements. Now I cook dishes much faster and they turn into real masterpieces! Really tasty! I am looking forward to new achievements with this GE product.
