Zephyr AK2100AS

Pros: Convenient features, Powerful, Sleek look.

My old microwave hood died and I replaced it with this Zephyr product. It does a really nice job! 6 speed settings are convenient and they allow to choose the right speed for your needs. The appearance is stylish and sleek.

I gave it 4 stars because stainless steel is thin and the edges of the unit are rather sharp, so you should be careful during cleaning or just using it. Users manual is poor and lots of information is missing.

Cons: Not durable, Unreliable.

One of my friends advised me this Zephyr model. It worked great, while it worked. The unit quit working after exactly two years and it can't be repaired now. Too expensive 2-year buy.

Cons: Hard to install.

This Zephyr range hood is extremely powerful and especially comparing with our microwave-hood unit. Design is sleek and modern. There numerous speed settings and on most of them the hood runs quietly. 5Th and 6th settings are noisier, than the previous 4 ones, but still at these speeds a great amount of air is moved.

The installation is complicated. Screw holes are located close to each other and the most challenging step was to tighten the screws. I would advise to call someone to help you with the mounting.
