Reviews
Experience of using: Less than a month
Pros: attractive design, easy to install and clean, heats evenly, powerful
Think that the price is too high for a microwave, but it works great! I bought the trim kit, installed it and everything looks perfect. The installation was rather simple.
Experience of using: Few months
Pros: none
Cons: poor quality for the money!
This microwave quit working in six months, since I had bought it. The customer service is terrible! Stay away from KitchenAid.
Experience of using: 1 year or more
Pros: attractive design, simple controls, powerful
Cons: unreliable, not durable
This microwave worked for 13 months and then the magnetron died. It is too expensive to replace, so I prefer to get another unit from another brand.
Experience of using: 1 year or more
Pros: easy to use, well-designed, convenient, efficient
I bought this unit to replace an earlier version of the same model that quit working after 6 years. It meets our needs perfectly. We use it for reheating, defrosting, etc. mainly, but not for cooking.
Experience of using: 1 year or more
Pros: useful features, size, roomy, attractive design
Cons: poorly built, unreliable, pricey
I have owned this microwave for about four years and I was quite happy with it. Of course it was out of the warranty already.
First the door mechanism broke and I replaced it. Initially the mechanism was plastic that is, in my opinion, unacceptable for such a pricey unit. I hoped that it would serve me for a longer period of time.
I will never buy any product, produced my KitchenAid.
Experience of using: Few months
Pros: simple controls and display; easy to use and clean; powerful and heats evenly
Cons: not capacious enough
This KitchenAid microwave is a replacement for my old one. It is quiet good! Easy to use and clean, rather powerful and has attractive design.
Experience of using: Less than a month
Pros: simple display and controls, stylish look, heats evenly
Cons: unreliable, doesn't last
The microwave worked great, when it worked. The door broke and this is the only minus that I can find. I have used it only for three weeks and it died! Hope that the replacement will be more durable!
Experience of using: 1 year or more
Pros: attractive, efficient
Cons: poor customer service, not durable, poor quality
I purchased this microwave in February 2011 and it quit working in August 2011. the 1-year warranty was still in force, so I proceeded to have it fixed. The repairman visited us for 9 times, trying to fix it!!! Customer service didn't even consider replacing... In the end, the problem hasn't been solved and this MW is still dead! Stay away from KitchenAid!
Experience of using: About 6 months
Pros: powerful, functional, stylish, good size
Cons: poor user manual
I upgraded my kitchen about 10 years ago and at that time I built a cabinet for Panasonic microwave. It quit working and I had to find a unit that would suit the opening and go with the interior perfectly. So I bought this KitchenAid product. It looks fantastic and operates better than the previous one. It is has a quiet good power output, almost noiseless and easy to clean.
Lots of functions, but I don't really use them all. The manual, however, is poor.
