Pros: Modern style.

Finally we decided to upgrade our kitchen and replace our old electric cooktop, with this gas one. Appearance of the unit is great! Very stylish. But there is a problem with downdraft system. This system and burners are not proportional, that's flame is often pulled, what results in uneven and slower cooking. We checked the users docs twice and there is stated that downdraft should be used at all settings, even at low ones. Maybe the company has missed something and they had to make several settings for downdraft. I guess that such solution would be effective.

We are very pleased with this cooktop! It is easy to clean, burners' size is just perfect and downdraft is powerful and efficient. In general the performance of the cooktop is outstanding! We have stainless steel appliances an granite countertop in our kitchen, so this unit suited us perfectly well. Moreover it added a nice designer trait for the interior.

Pros: High powered burners, Instant heat, Simple controls, Versatile performance.

Cons: Hard to keep clean

We had electric cooktop in the past and so we still enjoy all the advantages of this gas device. Very powerful! Exceptional cooking performance. The only problem is that the unit requires constant cleaning, as all spots and grease are visible on this shiny surface. But overall we are very pleased!

Cons: Plastic knobs

We remodeled our kitchen completely and chose this GE product, because of its outstanding design and good reputation of the company. However plastic knobs disappointed us. They look cheap and feel that way as well. I believe that stainless steel controls would look much better here. Hope that GE will pay attention to that and improve its products.
