I use this microwave oven for about 2 years and I haven't had any problems with it. I also have another KitchenAid oven model and these two devices look well together. We use it daily and there are no problems at all.

I bought this oven as a gift for my mother's 85th birthday and I like it very much! It is rather spacious inside and well-designed. My mom now bakes every day! Convection feature makes the usage easier and ensures better results each time. Bakes evenly and quickly.

Cons: Cooling fan problems, Pricey, Unreliable..

I own this KitchenAid KBMS1454SSS and it causes me a lot of problems... I would like to warn everyone, who think over buying this unit. Cooling fan runs improperly. It can shut down the cooking cycle in the middle or it can continue working even after the end of the cooking cycle. Have KitchenAid tested it? I don't think so. It is a rather expensive model, comparing to other appliances, but unfortunately it turned out to be a real waste of money and nothing more.

We bought this oven during kitchen remodeling and then the problems began. First the display broke, we repaired it, then it broke again and it was impossible to read it. All these happened within the first year. Also the top plastic panel melted. I am very disappointed! Unsafe unit!
