I used this unit for about 3 years and I am really really disappointed, like other reviewers. The unit suited well for average use and it ran well. For this price and reputation of the company, 3-year use was a real let down for me. Premium branding and pricing don't mean premium products.

Pros: functional, quick, powerful, goodlooking

I have already cooked a lot of items in this microwave and I am absolutely in love with it! The controls are really quick, one touch and it starts cooking. It fits my kitchen cabinet perfectly and it goes with my kitchen interior well. It is powerful and I would definitely recommend it to those people, who need the one that cooks fast and evenly.

I liked the microwave, when it worked. Purchased it in February 2009, installed it in April, when remodelled the house, and it died in March 2010. If you check customers' reviews about this model or any other GE product, then you already know that there are a lot of disappointed opinions about this brand. The devices quit working shortly after the warranty. By the time, when a repairman comes out, I may already buy another microwave of another manufacturer.

I am pretty disappointed. This model costs good money, more than other devices of the same class. So in result it turns out that you pay for the look, but what about the functionality and period of usage?

Horrible microwave and extremely terrible performance! Noisy box that quit working 6 months after 1-year warranty expired. After all I could have bought a better unit for this price.

I used this microwave for re-heating only and the interior walls started to peal off. I contacted GE and they told me to stop using it. Instead of that they offered me to buy a comparable product with $75 discount. Well, to tell the truth, I thought that they would offer a deeper discount or new product. I am very disappointed. Taking into consideration the fact that this unit was defective. All GE Monogram products are overpriced and unreliable.

This microwave was a replacement to the similar GE model that quit working after about 3 years of running and now it is dead too. It sounds as if it is running, but it doesn't heat at all.

I even tried to repair it, though it would cost me some money, I tried. I called one of GE's authorized centres that obviously led to the National Customer Service number. They asked for my ZIP code and quickly told me that they didn't have any GE repair shop in my area. They actually told me to check Yellow Pages! - How helpful! Thank you. Now I have two dead GE microwaves and I am done.
